How do I install the FLOWN web app?

FLOWN is available as a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means you can install it directly from your browser and have it on your computer or phone just like a "native" app.

For the best experience, we strongly recommend installing the app on a desktop computer rather than on a mobile device.

To install the PWA, we recommend using a Chromium-based browser (e.g., Chrome, Edge, etc).

Note: some browsers do not fully support all features of PWAs so installation may not work (e.g. Opera, Internet Explorer).

Browser and mobile

Step-by-step installation:

  • You can install the app from the profile side panel or the Springboard in supported browsers.

  • Click 'Install our app' to start the download process.

  • When prompted click 'Install'.

Install from profile side panel:

Installation via the profile popup menu

Install from Springboard:

The app installs immediately and opens, you should see it in your dock (Mac) or applications bar (Windows).

Installation with Safari:

Safari recently added some basic support for PWA with the "Add to dock" option. See the screenshot below:

  • Click on the "Share" icon and then select "Add to Dock"

  • You should now see the FLOWN icon in your Dock

I installed the app, but it's not showing on my computer?

If you're having trouble retrieving the app after installation, you can open FLOWN through an associated app using the 'open app' button on Chrome.

From here, you'll be able to bookmark or add the FLOWN web app to your toolbar.

I would like to uninstall the app or reset my installation:

To uninstall the app, you have to fully remove it from your browser. You can do this by pressing on the burger menu on the top right corner and clicking "Uninstall FLOWN). See screenshot below:

You will then be prompted to remove the app from your browser.
