Sharing your sound with participants can enrich your session's atmosphere and make it more engaging. There are two ways to share your sound:

  1. Music playback via Sounds is session-friendly and gives each person control over their own volume

  2. Screen sharing audio will broadcast everything from your device.

1. Use the Sounds feature (recommended)

FLOWN has a built-in Music & Sounds tool that lets you play music for the whole room.

  • Open the Sounds tab in your session toolbar

  • Either:

    • Choose from FLOWN’s pre-made playlists (curated for focus and flow)

    • Or paste a YouTube URL to play your own music or playlist

  • Hit the Broadcast to the room button to start playing for everyone

  • You can control the music for the whole room, change tracks, pause, or skip

  • Each participant can adjust their own volume or turn the music off completely

2. Use the share screen option

  • Click on the Share Screen button on your session control panel.

• When the screen sharing options appear, select the browser tab that is playing the sound.

  • Before clicking Share, and make sure to tick the Share sound box located at the bottom of the panel. This will allow the sound playing in that browser tab to be heard by all participants in the session.

When sharing sound, requesting that other participants mute their microphones - This prevents any echo or feedback loops from occurring, ensuring a smooth and pleasant listening experience for everyone. Alternatively, as a host, you can also mute participants.
